Mesa is a mid century update of a post and bean home located in the foothills of Mount Baldy. Designed for a small family who relocated to be closer to their family. The home sits on a large lot filled with an orchard and a wild ravine. Each room offers vistas of the mountains and the upland valley. Local stone was used to anchor the home’s exterior and creating a hunkering effect for the main living spaces. Roof planes offset the squared frame and provide a respite from the desert sun in the hotter months. Warm textures and finishes appoint the interior for a cozy modern atmosphere for each season.
