As part of an on-going remodel at Rose Café, DEX envisioned the back patio around an old-growth Coral tree that has been a part of restaurant’s history since it opened in 1979. The redesigned patio includes a series of decks with custom-designed redwood benches built into a vertical screen of magaris wood slats that wrap up the structural framework. To make the outdoor space cozy on breezy Venice nights, DEX designed a large masonry fire pit on the upper deck and added overhead heaters.
DEX also updated the Café’s parking-side façade with a poured concrete planters, new landscaping, an updated color palette, soon-to-be installed signage, and an addition that contains new restrooms.
