look out, we get to design a new space of our very own!  We look forward

  • Photos from Dex-designed Financial Planning Office

DEX Studio stayed local for its latest project at Dogtown Station in Venice, CA. The Studio worked with a local financial planning firm to create a functional office that breaks the mold of traditionally sterile corporate spaces. By combining strong architectural details with a variety of custom-designed furniture, DEX delivered an unconventional office with a two-story wall of walnut louvers, glass, and leaf-green painted panels to serve as the backdrop for all the firm’s activities. Enjoy photos from around the office.

  • DEX Delivers Custom Roof Deck Furniture

DEX designed multi-functional outdoor furniture for a local Venice residence. The pieces were craned onto the home’s roof deck just in time for spring beach weather.

The furniture is divided into sections that are easily convertible into cushioned seating, benches, side tables, and storage units. These options are achievable because the cushions are mounted inside a hinged lid that forms the back support for banquette seating and, when pulled down, becomes a wood top for benches and side table options.

DEX is continuing to design special features for the roof deck including a convertible chaise lounges, a built-in dining table around a tree, and a movable firepit cover. We will continue to update with more photos as the project moves along…!
